My journey in luxury hospitality in the heart of Venice
Full-time Role with 24/7 Commitment
This was a unique experience in friendly, human-centered customer service. Alongside the manager, I was one of only two staff members responsible for the entire operation. Our mission went beyond check-ins—we were true companions in our guests' unforgettable journeys through Venice.
We worked day and night, including midnights, to build trust and excellence. Our efforts were rewarded with the Superhost badge on Airbnb and an 8.4/10 rating on Booking.com.
From 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, We provided in-person assistance at the residence and nearby taxi/vaporetto stops. Beyond that, we offered 24/7 online support via WhatsApp and phone calls—helping with everything from tourist tips to medical emergencies. We transformed an old building into a cozy and welcoming space for our mostly young, international guests, creating not just a stay, but a memory.
Operational Excellence
During my time at Hotel Splendid, I gained valuable insights into hospitality, teamwork, and customer service. Working closely with a vibrant, professional team, I developed both soft skills—such as communication, adaptability, and cultural awareness—and technical skills as a barista and waiter.
I actively contributed to several successful events, including the Splendid Venice White Party, a Multinational Dinner Party, and a festive Halloween Night, each enriching my understanding of event coordination and guest experience.
